Medhen Orphan Relief Effort (M.O.R.E.) 

Our Focus

M.O.R.E. supports a constantly evolving array of empowering and essential services to impoverished, orphaned, vulnerable, and underserved children and youth, as well as to their parents/caregivers, administered by Sister Senkenesh Gebre-Mariam and her staff under the umbrella of the Medhen Social Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Education

Education leading to vocational training certification or University / College degrees provides a path for breaking the cycle of poverty and enabling a self-sustaining livelihood.

Health & Nutrition

Ensuring regular health care examinations, access to medicine, food and nutritional supplements, and psychosocial care alleviates crucial day-to-day stressors.

Community

Focusing on the larger community through basic business skill training, developing income generating activities, and providing adequate shelter and clothing creates a holistic support system.
M.O.R.E. is a U.S. based, 501c(3) grassroots non-profit charitable organization completely run by volunteers with no paid administrative staff.
